Happy belated 4th of July from sunny, sweltering North Carolina. It is difficult to breathe, our backyards are cracking from drought, and the deer are being forced to snack on our tomato stalks. Oh, well…

What a blast it was to travel with the Hoppers again!
I have always held them in high esteem and appreciated that they are genuinely salt-of-the-earth folks. After spending time with them on the bus, in restaurants, at soundchecks and venues, I admire them even more. Theirs is a true ministry borne of a rich legacy. It was a privilege to be there!
Our family had a wonderful 4th of July – a yummy cookout followed by volleyball in the shade. The missing piece was our mom. Nothing is the same now, but we draw comfort knowing that the temperature is PERFECT where she is. Our hearts are glad because she is with her mom whom she missed so, as well as the baby girl born between Kay and me. She’s also with her brother and sisters, all whom she dearly loved and missed.
This weekend, I’ll be sharing a concert in Pikeville, North Carolina with a good friend. Details are below.
Many warm, ah, cool blessings to you all!
Love,
Janet
