Back In The Studio…..
Hey Everybody,
I’m in Nashville – in the studio – working on a new project. This process, perhaps more than any other, defines the perfect mixture of work and pleasure. While the days are emotionally draining, I’d buy a ticket to watch as these gifted musicians output complex chords and tempos as effortlessly as I transfer clothes from washer to dryer. It’s as though they were born to do what they do. And I was born to sit and watch. Here they are L to R: Dave Cleveland, Wayne Haun, Jason Webb, Mark Hill, and Steve Brewster.
The new project is a collection of some of my most requested older songs – some from more than twenty years ago. It’s fun to bring them back to the table. We’ll have tracks for all of them, too.
Wayne Haun is producing (did I need to say that?). We’re keeping the thick, rich production on the the ballads, and the foot-stomping beats on the uptempos. We’re staying true to the original arrangements with some slight updating (we eliminated the disco sounds:)
The project is called TREASURES and it will release in conjunction with the new book titled TREASURES OF THE SNOW. They’ll be available this fall.
